2018 Bellwether ‘Ant Series’ Cabernet Sauvignon

$32.00

Region: Coonawarra, SA

Viticulture: Conventional

Winemaker  Sue Bell

Established Date:

Whole berry, natural ferment and old oak, Cabernet as nature intended. This is our version a fruit driven aromatic Cabernet designed for early drinking! This is ‘You cant’ go wrong’ wine. Ants have five noses in their antennae detecting separate smells. You only need one nose to recognise Coonawarra Cabernet, in fact you can smell it from five paces.

Sommelier’s Recommendation

One of my favourite examples of Coonawarra cabernet. Lots of dark brambly fruit on the noise and a big punch of menthol and eucalyptus which is typIcal of the region. On the palate there are some nicely integrated oak and some amazing spice, reminding me of a blackberry pudding.
